Pyunkang Yul is a Korean brand which genuinely saved my skin when I had an outbreak of eczema, and allergies in my early 20s. A product line which worked amazingly for my overly sensitive skin markets as a minimalist brand that focuses on a few core ingredients that have proven wonders for my skin to calm inflammation. My skin was able to tolerate Pyunkang Yul products when practically any other product caused me to react negatively with even more redness and sensitivity. Highly recommend this brand to anyone suffering from a broken skin barrier and are looking to reset your skin back to a healthy stronger state.

This is the first product I tried from Pyunkang Yul’s brand and it is possibly the best product I have ever used. Consistently used for over 5 years, I noticed an active difference in my skin in which my skin was able to bounce back from inflammation easier, calmed down reactivity within a few uses, with the added bonus that this product never stings my eyes. With the cold winter weather, my skin would feel dryer and tight, taking some of Pyunkang Yul’s toner instantly brought some hydration back into my skin.

How to Use

Toner

Taking a few drops onto my palms, I press my hands on my face, leaving them for a few seconds to help absorption. The toner seeps into the skin without leaving any sticky residue and is prepared for the next step in my skincare routine. As someone with normal to dry skin, this toner really helped stabilize my skin while also being deeply hydrating.

Mask

On days where my skin is more stressed then usual with the fun symptoms of redness, irritation, itchy, and warm – aka compromised skin barrier, I like to make a sheet mask out of this toner. I soak up thin cotton pads with this essence and after cleansing, stick them onto my face for 10 -15 minutes (or till they dry). Once done, I remove and move on to my next skincare step!
